Joel Marson is an aerialist with four years experience concentrating primarily in silks, aerial net, and as a flying trapeze catcher. Recent performances include an aerial net act for Fern Street Circus's "Cruise Around The World" and silks for Bravo and December Nights.  The things I enjoy most about circus in general are teaching both children and adults the skills freely given to me, and bringing the impact of Scripture out dramatically using circus arts.  Cirque for Christ provides a unique opportunity for me to serve Jesus Christ and share the Gospel using the gifts He has given me.  Outside of Cirque For Christ, I make a living as a data analyst / report developer; and I both teach and perform with a local non-profit circus arts program here in San Diego .

Karla Kirkegaard is from San Diego , CA. and is happily married to her husband Rick and has 3 fabulous kids: Colton, 13; Kaitlyn, 10 and Conner, 8. When she is not being ˇ§Momˇ¨, she competes in Fitness competitions for Ms. Fitness USA and enjoys Aerial Acrobatics and Gymnastics for a fun and challenging workout.
Her passion for Christ began at the early age of 6. Her mother introduced her to Christ before she passed away and attributes her relationship with Jesus as her anchor through the heavy storms in life. Around age 14, she started drifting from the Lord and life as a teenager was lonely and full of empty searching until she reconnected with her first love, Jesus, at age 19. Her passion now is ministering to young teens and kids through youth groups, youth crisis hotlines and fun Christ-centered activities.

The bible says to "comfort others with the comfort you have received¨ and Lord willing, she hopes to touch young people's lives with the comfort she received as a young, lost soul. She also hopes to some day open up a teen "hang out" called The Lighthouse that includes a state of the art Gym, food service, rooms for bible studies and youth groups, and a "Starbucks-like" atmosphere for teens to do homework and pass the time. Until then, please pray for the vision the Lord has given her about The Lighthuse and that His will be done. Isaiah 40:31
